Dev & Playtest


Development:

We started with deciding what keys we wanted to use, and ended up with using the mouse for the core mechanic. Next, we decided on what we wanted to do and started throwing ideas back and forth, ending up with the theme of villagers and monsters. After figuring out the theme we just decided on roles and started to develop our prototype with the core mechanic of dragging. 


Playtest:

Alex:

  • Enjoyed the mechanics and concept
  • Would have liked if there was some kind of organic way to tell the players the rules(more or less did that in final version)

Shauntanu:

  • Enjoyed the simplicity of the game
  • Found the concept interesting

Costas:

  • Liked the mechanics and concepts
  • Liked how the different levels scaled in difficulty
  • Give the player more leeway when picking up and moving monsters
