Week three reading response
ch.8= This segment talks about how or in what ways you can make a good ui that conveys vital info to the player and ways to do so creatively.
response: make my ui very clear, like if I have buttons make them big, if I have a health bar make it obvious it's a health bar(i.e. make it a heart(s) like in zelda or a big green or red bar with some kind of recognizable health symbol like a cross). make use of easily understandable icons and symbols.
ch.8 sidebar= They talk about making a prototype with actual software instead of paper and list reasons why you would(i.e. only being able to experience the interaction between player and game properly with software) and the advantages of using it.
response: when I make a digital game, make a digital prototype to see how it plays and so people can playtest it.
ch.8 sidebar 2= talks about how you control how a game feels with things like controller input and sensitivity and contextualizing the environment.
response: try to control how the game input feels and make the game environment matches the feeling I want to give the player
